Issue

Users need guidance on how to display General Ledger (G/L) accounts in task windows within Sage 50.

Solution

Follow these steps to configure Sage 50 to display General Ledger accounts in task windows. This process allows for easier access and management of financial data directly from various task windows.
  1. Access Global Options

    1. Open Sage 50.
    2. Click on the Options menu located at the top of the screen.
    3. Select Global Options from the dropdown list. This action will open the Maintain Global Options window.
    1. In the Maintain Global Options window, locate and click on the Accounting tab. This tab contains settings related to accounting features and preferences.
  2. Adjust General Ledger Accounts Visibility

    1. Find the section labeled Hide General Ledger Accounts.
    2. Locate the checkbox next to the option where you want the G/L accounts to appear.
    3. Clear the checkbox to ensure the G/L accounts are visible in the specified task windows. Unchecking this box will enable the display of General Ledger accounts in your selected task window.
  3. Save and Exit
